Bringing his eight years of publishing experience to bear, CEO David Pitchford adds publishing savvy and business know-how to Pitch-Black, LLC. Pitchford has been president of The Poets and Writers Literary Forum of Springfield, Illinois since 2000 and held a seat on the board of directors there since 1998. He has published PWLF's quarterly magazine since it began in 1997, as well as working with several poets on chapbooks and assisting layout for the UIS English Club's academic journal The Alchemist Review. Pitchford is currently serving his second year as a Writing Specialist in the Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of Illinois at Springfield. He is scheduled to receive his Masters of English with a focus in American poetry in 2005, at which time he intends to devote his full schedule to publishing.
